Description
Typical Filtration Stages
- Sediment Filter (PP): Catches large particles like sand, dirt, and rust.
- Granular Activated Carbon (GAC): Absorbs chlorine, pesticides, and volatile organic compounds.
- Carbon Block Filter (CTO): Provides secondary carbon filtration and removes lingering tastes or odors.
- Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane: The core filter that blocks heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, and dissolved solids.
- Post-Carbon (T33): Polishes the water and finalizes taste.
- Mineral Cartridge: Reintroduces essential minerals (like calcium and magnesium) stripped by the RO process.
- Alkaline or UV Filter: Either balances the pH for better alkalinity or sterilizes remaining bacteria using UV light.
